ANAs Activities: US based Lux Research released their latest nanotechnology report revealing $US147 billion worth of nano-enabled products produced in 2007, with the figure set to grow to $US3.1 trillion by 2015. The Lux figures are imperative to Australian decision makers with Australian nano enabled goods potentially being valued at $60B by 2015. ANA, with funding from the Australian Office of Nanotechnology (AON) and the Qld Govt, is undertaking a national program of Nanotechnology workshops aimed at educating and showcasing nanotechnology to industry. The ANA aims to undertake these workshops in both metropolitan and regional centres over the coming 12 months ANA Executive Event Series is set to be boosted after Davies Collison Cave agreed to partner with the ANA for events in Sydney and Melbourne. The Series is also undertaken in Brisbane and is aimed at bringing discussions on nano into CBD boardrooms to encourage collaboration between industry and researchers. |
